About Us
Giacomo, Jeannette and La Lupa
We took over full ownership of La Lupa in January 2009, and have set about a gradual programme of refreshing and renewing the restaurant. Further improvements are planned, but we hope you like the results so far. If you have any suggestions or comments, please email us at or use the 'Contact Us' form.

The Name 'La Lupa'
La Lupa takes its name from one of the key characters in the most famous version of the founding of Rome; the legend of Romulus and Remus, abandoned twins who, tradition has it, were protected and suckled by 'la lupa' - the 'she-wolf'.
Yeatman's Old Mill
La Lupa is located in Yeatman's Old Mill.  The Mill dates to circa 1790, and has been owned by the Yeatman family for over 100 years.  There is reputed to be an 18th century smugglers' passage under the building (now walled up!).
In 1976 the family completely restored and refurbished the building, retaining its old world charm.
